Who or what is your inspiration in business?

Baseball shaped my work ethic long before business did. Playing through college taught me discipline, resilience, and teamwork. When my career ended early, it left a void—this journey is a way to stay connected to the game I love and to heal. My family drives me every day, and Williamsport’s roots in baseball and lumber inspire me to build something meaningful that lasts.

How do you stay motivated?

My motivation comes from purpose. I’m building something that connects history, community, and the game I love. Port Athletics isn’t just about selling bats it’s about creating real opportunities. I want my children to see what it looks like to build something with integrity, persistence, and faith. Every challenge becomes part of the story, and every step forward proves that betting on yourself is worth it!

What would you do with the $25,000?

The $25,000 would accelerate the launch of Port Athletics and allow us to move from concept to production. The funds would go directly toward purchasing a CNC wood lathe, sourcing premium maple billets, and building our first run of professional-grade wooden bats. This investment would help us establish manufacturing in Williamsport, create local economic impact, and reconnect the region’s historic lumber heritage with the game of baseball.
