Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

I had a vision to create my own business to inspire, motivate, teach, and encourage our youth and the people in our communities to believe in themselves and follow their dreams. I live a healthy, balanced lifestyle grounded in the Circle of Life. I am laying the foundation for the next generation to succeed, reach their full potential, break those negative cycles, and provide the opportunities they were never given as children, in order to carry on the legacy.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated through a deep connection to my spirituality, health and wellness and my son. My son motivates me every day to be stronger, more focused and determined. My lived experience motivates me to give back to the community in a meaningful way by offering cultural services to those seeking to reclaim and reconnect with their Indigenous roots. As a survivor of Intergenerational trauma, I want the future generations to know they can do anything if they stay motivated and have community.

What would you do with the $25,000?

My plan for the $25,000 would be to use the funds to secure a piece of Land to start my project, a cultural centre for those who have been involved in the criminal justice system, as well as the child welfare system. There have been far too many Indigenous, Black and People of Colour involved in this colonial system. My hope is to provide a safe-enough space for these community members to find healing with others who can relate to their life journeys.
