Free RegistrationThe women in my family. Watching my mother go through surgery for fibroids and my sister live with PCOS showed me how much support women need during their health journeys. Years later, a friend asked me to be her birth doula because she couldn’t afford a midwife. I said yes, and that moment changed my life. It’s what led me to start Healing Divine Doula Services.
How do you stay motivated?The families I serve keep me motivated. Many of my clients are low-income mothers on Medicaid or government assistance, and they deserve compassionate, knowledgeable care just like anyone else. Being able to support women during one of the most important moments of their lives keeps me going.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would expand Healing Divine Doula Services and invest in midwifery training so I can provide even more support to the families I serve. My long-term goal is to open a birthing center and a postpartum recovery space that also provides safe housing for women and children affected by domestic violence.
