Who or what is your inspiration in business?

I am inspired to win as a business owner by my late father. My dad always wanted to break free from the life of working for someone else's dream, but didn't because of keeping a benefits package for his family. Today, my wife and I are living out my dad's dream through my experience and passion in the world of building design and construction management. I pair my drive given to me by my dad with being saved by Jesus Christ. I may not win every time I step up to bat, but I fight the good fight.

How do you stay motivated?

Mark Twain said the Secret of getting ahead is getting started; and Theodore Roosevelt said if you believe you can, you are already half way there. I stay motivated by keeping my dreams in front of me everyday with a vision board. I learned this concept from Terri Savelle Foy's book: Dream It, Pin It, Live it. What would you do with the $25,000?

$25,000 would be a monumental step towards growing my business. It would help cover some of the debts left hanging by clients that have failed to make good on invoices. The #1 reason small businesses fail is the lack of cashflow. More importantly, it would also give me the chance to put together some investments for the company to float the lean times, and to dive deeper into the purchase of some equipment that would help my company grow. Construction is an ebb and tide business.
