Who or what is your inspiration in business?

Honestly… myself! I’ve worked really hard over the past 10 years to grow my business. In 2018 I went full-time and added my husband as my videographer. This year I’ve added an associate photographer to capture weddings for me on days I’m already booked! I also find inspiration in other photographers and their creativity! I love pushing myself to try new things. I also have a wonderful mother-in-law and two sister-in-laws who all run their own businesses as well :)

How do you stay motivated?

I love my job so much I don’t find it difficult at all to stay motivated. If I spend time without shooting I miss it and find a way to get back to it! I also motivate myself to take courses on marketing and write blogs during my off-season. Other photographers also motivate me when I see what they’re up to!

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would LOVE to finally upgrade to some new cameras and lenses! I would also love to invest in some paid ads. It would also help me pay to outsource my editing so that I can photograph more and spend more time with my family as well as of course pay my many business expenses: website, online galleries, insurance, etc. It would be an incredible help as I am also a stay-at-home mom to my incredible 3-year-old daughter!
