Who or what is your inspiration in business?

I started KC Transitional Solutions LLC driven by 25 years of experience working with justice-involved individuals and a strong desire to address the barriers they face in reintegrating into our communities. During my career in corrections, I focused on offender programs and rehabilitative services within high security correctional facilities with complex missions, where I witnessed firsthand the challenges that male felons are confronted with upon release.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by keeping the mission in front of me through creating a supportive community that helps individuals regain stability, acquire necessary vocation and education skills to help them ultimately achieve independent living.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If KC Transitional Solutions LLC were awarded $25,000.00, the funding would be allocated to several key areas to enhance our services and support for our clients. We would invest in marketing and advertising materials, secure leasing for 2-4 of our planned transitional homes, specifically targeting justice-involved individuals, educational and vocational programming resources, and furnishings and essential security upgrades for the transitional homes.
