Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration comes from my mother, my childhood experiences—both the good and the difficult—my children, my students, and my own drive to build something meaningful. I’m also inspired by brands like FUBU and their origin story of building culture, ownership, and opportunity from the ground up. These influences push me to create a business that blends creativity, community, and economic empowerment.

How do you stay motivated?

By staying true to myself and following my inner calling. I focus on keeping my intentions aligned with helping others while providing for and protecting my family. I stay motivated by believing in my purpose, continuing to learn, and staying connected to what is happening in the world, technology, and my industry so I can grow and evolve with it.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would invest the $25,000 into stabilizing and growing Holy Stitch! by supporting payroll, rent, and key equipment while expanding our production, customization services, and workforce training programs. This would allow us to serve more customers, train more apprentices, and strengthen our San Francisco manufacturing and education hub while building long-term sustainability.
