Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration in business comes from my grandma and my family. Every Sunday we gathered while she cooked baked chicken, greens, mac and cheese and I helped clean and prep while watching her every move. Seeing the joy on people’s faces and them leaving with full plates stayed with me. That’s what drives me now: creating food and experiences where people don’t have to ask if it’s good, they just know.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by my family and friends who push me to try new things, and by watching other chefs create and adding my own RjCreations spin. Seeing empty plates, smiles, and hearing feedback after events keeps me going. Even constructive criticism sends me back to the lab to come back better every time.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would invest the $25,000 into a food truck to expand RjCreations and reach more people. It would bring my flavors directly to communities, events, and neighborhoods. My goal is to grow my brand, increase accessibility, and let more people experience the quality and flavor RjCreations brings to the table
