Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My biggest inspiration is my grandfather, who ran his own fishing company in the Northwest Territories. Watching him build something for our community showed me the power of entrepreneurship. As an Indigenous woman and mother, I’m inspired to create opportunities, share healing and teach skills that empower others to build their own paths.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by the people I serve. Seeing someone leave a session feeling lighter, more confident or inspired reminds me why I started. My children also motivate me to keep growing and building something meaningful. Entrepreneurship isn’t always easy, but knowing my work helps others heal, learn new skills and believe in themselves keeps me moving forward.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would invest it directly into expanding my wellness and education business. My goal is to create a dedicated training and healing space where I can teach Reiki, beauty skills and wellness practices especially in Indigenous and rural communities. The funding would help with equipment and educational resources so I can reach more people and create opportunities for others to learn, heal and build their own income.
