Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My, who, inspiration are my girls, my grandson and my grandmother. I want them to know what a legacy is and how to develop it. My grandmother broke barriers within our community as the first black female cashier at the local grocery store, then walked away from the position when the owner made her choose between having a job and furthering her education. The, what, of my inspiration is my community and those around me. I want to inspire and help educate others to legacy.

How do you stay motivated?

Motivation is hard, but I aspire to be productive in any and everything I do. Knowing that I can possibly inspire and help others reach their potential and goals motivates me, because if others around me are meeting their goals, then that mean I am meeting mine one person at a time.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would split the funds between my nonprofit and businesses, connecting them to create education and provide items needed to the students and low to medium income families in the community. I would educate teens and adults on wills, life insurance, investing and home buying.
