Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration in business comes from my personal journey, faith in God, and passion for helping people who battle with mental health conditions to realize they’re not alone. I built my platform to create a judgement free space where people could feel seen, heard, supported and to encourage growth, healing and perseverance. My brand symbol is a butterfly to remind people that even after difficult seasons that healing is a process, but transformation is always possible.

How do you stay motivated?

Being in recovery from suicide and self harm for 8 years, I’ve learned that I can live life and not just exist in it. I am motivated because of my daughter, my niece & nephew, my parents, my brother. They all have became my reason to fight, but also anytime someone email, message, or stop me and say how much sharing my own story has inspired them lets me know I can make a difference in people’s lives.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Winning the $25,000 would not only help scale my brand but also expand the impact of our mission to remind people everywhere that they’re mentally strong and capable of becoming physically free from the weight of their struggles. I would be able to take this vision to the level it rightfully deserves, reaching and uplifting even more people in need of hope, healing, and community.
