Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My grandmother is the inspiration behind my photography business. She was one of the first people I told about my dream of doing photography, and she simply told me to “go for it” because she believed in me. After she passed, I realized I didn’t have many one-on-one photos with her or even any from my wedding. That realization pushed me to turn my hobby into a business so other families and couples never miss the chance to capture those meaningful moments.

How do you stay motivated?

My clients often become family and are almost always repeat clients. The bonds we form and the connections we have keep me going through the hard times. In this business, you have busy seasons and then you have dry seasons, but every season I’m able to do what I love, is a blessing! It’s just a bonus to be able to teach the child we’re raising that anything is possible and not to be scared of working hard!

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won the $25,000, I would first set aside a portion in a business savings account for taxes and a rainy day fund. I’d also invest a couple thousand into stronger marketing to help get my name out to more potential clients. The rest would go toward securing a building for a studio so I can offer clients reliable studio bookings without worrying about changing prices or limited availability.
