Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My daughter Tiffany, age 41, has been my inspiration. Tiffany has echolalic autism and intellectual disabilities. At the young age of 41, I have been interactive and planning, designing and creating tools to empower her. Tiff loves traveling, so we created a website for her and her peers when she was 19 offering links for trains, planes, buses and cars. She has been to 24 states and 4 countries with me. As her mom and advocate I encourage Tiffany to enjoy her life to the best that she can.

How do you stay motivated?

At age 62, I stay motivated by challenging myself daily to learn and identify the tools available to help the individuals with disabilities. As an innovator, I believe that with assistance and support, they can accomplish remarkable tasks. From year’s of observation, I believe I can make an impact in the world of individuals with disabilities.

What would you do with the $25,000?

It has been a vision to up a 1 year pilot study with five individuals who have various disabilities teaching them how to use science technology engineering, art, and math to build a robot. To begin, my partners would work with each client as a 1-1team who can monitor progress and/or identify specific tools to help ach one accomplish the task. Each quarter we will assess status snd celebrate achievements. Together this will allow the participants to receive new skills, education and knowledge.
