Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration comes from a deep desire to create beauty, joy, and meaningful experiences during some of life’s most important moments. I started my business during a season where I needed to rebuild, find purpose, and create something of my own. What began as a creative outlet quickly became a calling. Through Kindly Kurated Events, I don’t just design spaces. I center women and girls, showing them they can take up space, build from their ideas, and create something impactful.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by staying connected to why I started. I built Kindly Kurated Events from scratch while rebuilding my life, which keeps me grounded. Through my business, I’ve been proud to support initiatives that empower women and girls and sponsor events that celebrate their strength and potential. Knowing what it took for me to move to a new country with no support system and build a business from scratch with no capital keeps me motivated to keep going and create real impact for other

What would you do with the $25,000?

When I win $25,000, part of the funding would support programs to inspire and mentor women and girls in creative entrepreneurship back home in Austin and in Africa. I would invest in scaling Kindly Kurated Events, upgrading inventory and equipment, expanding offerings, especially in the wedding industry, and strengthening marketing. I would also invest in mentorship and training to grow my skills and business operations.
