Who or what is your inspiration in business?

An attack by an unhoused person while walking through an at‑risk area on the way to an art gala forced a reckoning with issues of safety, vulnerability, and prevention within Saint John, NB. That experience, alongside my work with ICASC and the Conservation Council of New Brunswick, shaped a focus on community engagement and inclusive public spaces.My work uses creativity and entrepreneurship to reduce harm, rebuild trust, and strengthens connections resulting in stronger,healthier communities.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by seeing how small, intentional actions strengthen community trust and participation. Each project creates moments where people feel safer, more welcome, and more connected to the spaces around them; those outcomes matter. Focusing on tangible community impact, rather than abstract change, keeps the work grounded and sustainable, one meaningful moment at a time.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use the $25,000 to expand community‑engaged programming, strengthen safety‑focused event design, and build tools that help local spaces become more inclusive and resilient. The funds would support pilot projects, fair compensation for collaborators, documentation of impact, and capacity building; ensuring the work reaches more communities while remaining sustainable and accountable.
