Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration comes from real problems in the funeral industry. After more than 20 years working in prep rooms and removals, I saw firsthand how small workflow improvements could prevent injuries and improve safety. That experience motivated me to design practical solutions like the Mortuary Balancing Bar and build Fanprobe around tools that make the work safer and more efficient for funeral professionals.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by solving real problems funeral professionals face every day. After spending decades in prep rooms and removals, I know how physically demanding the work is. When embalmers and funeral directors tell me the Mortuary Balancing Bar improves safety, reduces strain, and makes their workflow easier, it reinforces why I built Fanprobe. That feedback drives me to keep developing practical tools that improve safety, efficiency, and professionalism across funeral service.

What would you do with the $25,000?

The funding would accelerate production and distribution of the Mortuary Balancing Bar while expanding Fanprobe’s training mannequin rental program. Funds would support manufacturing inventory, outreach to funeral homes and mortuary science programs, and targeted marketing. It would also help cover trade show and funeral service convention fees so we can demonstrate the product directly to professionals and expand adoption nationwide.
