Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration for Wild Womb comes from both my professional experience working in labor and delivery and my own journey through two very challenging pregnancies and births. I realized that what helped me walk away without birth trauma was having the education and confidence to make informed choices for my family. Wild Womb was created to share that knowledge and to build a supportive community where people can connect with others experiencing similar journeys.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated because we are facing a maternal mental health crisis in this country. As a mom who suffered greatly from PPD and PPA I never want anyone to experience that alone if they don't have to. I know that Wild Womb can save lives by being a safe place for parents to express themselves and seek help and support. That is a mission worth living every day for.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With $25,000, I would complete development of the Wild Womb App by adding features designed to support victims of domestic violence. These tools would allow users to discreetly send alerts to trusted providers requesting help or trigger an emergency alert that contacts local emergency services and shares their location. Homicide by a partner is the leading cause of death for pregnant and postpartum women—this feature could help save lives for mothers and their children.
