Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

Growing up, my sister, who is on the autism spectrum, struggled to find an extracurricular where she felt comfortable, and it was hard watching her miss out. I was able to enjoy gymnastics and the confidence it gave me. That inspired me to create Simeti’s Gymnastics Academy, an inclusive, welcoming space where every child can build confidence, friendships, and social skills through gymnastics.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by watching my students grow, make friends, and blossom. One recent moment that stands out is my student Trinity, a 7-year-old on the autism spectrum. Her mom had never left her with anyone, but trusted me during our Friday Night Out party. Trinity had an amazing time socializing and especially making new friends. Moments like that remind me why I do this!

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use the $25,000 to invest in portable equipment and expand my program into preschools, daycares, and day programs that serve children with special needs. By bringing structured cohorts directly to them, I can make gymnastics more accessible, helping more children build confidence, social skills, and friendships in environments where they already feel comfortable.
