Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

Definitely nature and the lesson it teaches us every day. Which is that it doesn't overpower its environment- it finds harmony within. That's my design philosophy and I think it's the most powerful one there is. In a world of mass development, we've treated nature as something to build over rather than build with. I founded Lily Scott to change that by using modern, highly engineered systems to bring nature back into the spaces where people live and work. Let's blur the lines of indoor and out.

How do you stay motivated?

I am grateful for my international network of friendly competitors and green infrastructure colleagues that are constantly pushing the boundaries and advancing their own systems and technologies. It keeps me always moving forward and curious about materials, price points, and offerings that make the experience for our clients as transparent and efficient as possible.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Marketing, visibility, and space. I'd invest in SEO and targeted outreach to reach more architects and developers considering green walls for their projects. I would also invest in a small space so I can buy in volume and hold inventory. This will allow me to give my clients better pricing and shorter lead times for their projects which will keep me competitive.
