Children influence me and the future in which they are headed and the wealth of knowledge missing in upbringing. To influence them that no matter what your background or struggle. You can make it out of the darkest of times. Despite all the pessimism and persecution in the world along with social stratification as well as desensitization in society. Success is achievable. From the slums of STL to magnet school, NJROTC, STLCC, Webster University and UMSL. I survived. So can you.
How do you stay motivated?My motivation is my life story, the tragic loss of family and many I love, heartbreak, homelessness and the will to help impact the mentality and dynamic in which children conceive success today. There has to be more media with substance, less violence and real life concepts.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would begin to give back to my community in many ways. Start a nonprofit that helps mentor children and adults with computer literacy, offer essential needs and life skills. Also teach skills within my Degree in media. Something tangible to use in an entrepreneurial sense to earn legitimate income. Finally, create a local film company and scene that expresses the meaning of “The Media Is the Message “.
