Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration in business comes from my own experience in recovery. When I completed inpatient treatment, there was someone who guided me, supported me, and helped me move forward in life on my own terms. That support made a lasting impact on me, and it inspired the mission behind my business. I want to provide the same guidance and encouragement to others—helping those who complete inpatient treatment transition successfully, find stability, and have something positive to look forward to

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by focusing on the impact my work has on the lives of others. Balancing a full-time job with my passion for helping people with mental health and substance use challenges keeps me energized. Each week, I take individuals to 12-step meetings and outings, providing support and connection that can be transformative. Teaching Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills groups and offering daily mental health therapy reminds me of the difference consistent guidance and encouragement.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I received the $25,000, I would use it as a starting investment to open a recovery housing program for individuals who are transitioning from treatment into independent living. My vision is to create a safe and supportive home that can accommodate ten women and ten men who are working to rebuild their lives while managing mental health and substance use disorders. Residents would be able to stay for up to two years, giving them the stability and time needed to focus on recovery, employment.
