Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My biggest inspiration in business is my family, especially my son and grandmother. My granny blessed me with 5,000 dollars to start my nail business journey over 20 years ago. My granny is now on hospice at home at 88 and anytime I get discouraged or feel depleted I think about how she inspires me through her strength, wisdom, and resilience. Seeing the sacrifices she made and the life she lived motivates me to work hard stay focus and create something that makes my family proud.

How do you stay motivated?

My son keeps me motivated he inspires me to build something meaningful that create stability, opportunity and a legacy for his future. My inspiration is not only to succeed for myself, but to honor the generations before me and build a better future for the generations after me.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I were awarded the $25,000, I would invest it directly into growing my business so it can become stable, sustainable, and able to serve my community. A portion of the funds would go towards equipment, supplies, and tools needed to operate and expand my business. I would also invest in marketing and branding to reach more customers and increase visibility. My goal is to use this opportunity to build a business that creates long-term income, supports my family and help other nail techs.
