Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration is the sixteen-year-old version of me who started as an HVAC apprentice and had no roadmap to what was possible. I build for that kid. Every farmer who cannot afford to lose a harvest, every young person locked out of the tech economy because no one handed them an on-ramp, that is who drives me. My guiding principle is purposeful economics: the better off we all are, the better off we all are. Business is the most powerful tool we have to make that real.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by proximity to the problem. I do not theorize about food insecurity or workforce gaps from a distance. I work with the farmers. I run the apprenticeship program. I see what changes when someone gets the right tool or the right opportunity at the right time. That is not something you can outsource to inspiration. It is accountability. The mission is too specific and the people are too real for me to coast.

What would you do with the $25,000?

The $25,000 would go directly toward expanding VerdantaIQ pilot deployments to three additional urban and peri-urban farm operators currently on our waitlist. This covers sensor hardware, onboarding, and the first 90 days of platform access at no cost to the farmer. Every pilot generates the real-world performance data that sharpens the model and strengthens the case for our next funding round. The investment compounds.
