Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

I LOVE to see the expression on the faces of my family, friends and clients when they take that very first bite of my desserts! It is PRICELESS to me! I am a GIVER at heart! So anything that I can do to bring a smile to someone's face, that's what I try to do! A lot of the people I encounter just want to be appreciated! So many people are hurting and have been through so much in life. I use my bakery as my ministry! I pray with or for whomever needs it! PRAYER is FREE!

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by reminding myself daily that someone is watching me! Whether it is my children, family, friends, clients, someone is always watching! I want them to see me WIN! i want them to KNOW for themselves nice guys don't finish last, they FINISH period! I want to leave a LEGACY for my bloodline! I want to build generational wealth that lasts throughout the decades. I want my children to build their own companies and live their dream lives because they watched their Mother DO IT!

What would you do with the $25,000?

i would look for a storefront building to realize my dream! I have been baking in my home professionally since 2014. I worked out of my home while holding down a full time job for 30 years. I baked during the evenings and weekends until my retirement in 2018 when I started baking full time. I want to have a safe, friendly place where families, teenagers, the elderly and the youth want to come and EXPERIENCE Sweet Creations by Melinda for themselves! I want to build lifelong relationships!
