Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration in business comes from love of hosting, cooking, and creating a warm home. Inspired by everyday moments shared around the table, and I strive to make pottery that is both functional and beautiful – pieces that move seamlessly from oven to table, while adding simple, aesthetic beauty to daily life.

How do you stay motivated?

I’ve always been a self starter and naturally self motivated, but what truly keeps me going as my love for what I do. Creating Pottery is something I genuinely enjoy, and that passion drives me every day. The feedback and support from others also inspire me to keep growing, improving. And staying committed to my work.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I were lucky enough to win $25,000, I would invest in essential studio equipment, such as a kiln, slab press, and a sink with a clay trap. I would bring in a kiln technician to train me, ensuring I operate safely and avoid damaging my Pottery. I currently rent monthly studio time, which limits production and risks damage to my pieces. I would also hire someone to build a professional website and a patent attorney to protect my business, if needed.
