What is Entrepreneur of Impact?
Learn MoreMy parents are an inspiration in business. I spent the first few years on a small Caribbean island but I always wanted to have a great impact like the ocean near me. My grandparents had a pizza shop. From a young age, I learned entrepreneurship because my parents allowed me to help them with the family business which was making local teabags. I loved washing the leaves. I started my business because I wanted to make my parents proud.
How do you stay motivated?I stay motivated by using all my past struggles to push me through whatever situations I go through now. For example, my past experience making an app came with alot of challenges but I learned to keep going and get better at actions I take towards my goals. I use this to push myself because I know that I want to have a productive and more fulfilling future filled with freedom instead of working 40 hours a week for someone else.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I win $25,000, I’ll turn it into impact and income. I’ll invest 45% to grow my business—launching a subscription box, publishing Just 60 Seconds, and expanding my speaking. I’ll use 20% for financial stability and 15% to learn investing. I’ll dedicate 10% to anti-bullying initiatives and 10% to broader community programs that build confidence and opportunity for youth.
