After the last company I worked for decommissioned, I got tired of looking for a good paying job. So with the help of my Score mentor I started my own business. It first started with becoming a notary, then I added tax prep and payroll. A steady source of income for myself.
How do you stay motivated?I try to remain positive and focus on what my future looks like more independent. Although sometimes I do get discouraged, but I try to stay focused on building little by little instead and don't compare myself to the bigger businesses in my area.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would most definitely invest in a portable office space and hire tax prepares during tax season. I would also take international payroll courses so I can have a wider reach for clientele since I travel Europe a lot.
