Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration comes from the people who taught me how to care. I grew up in rural Newfoundland, where kindness, generosity, and looking out for others was just part of life. My grandparents and mentors showed me the importance of treating people with compassion and respect. My mother was also an entrepreneur in my hometown, and she inspired me to build something of my own while helping others. I carry all of that with me in how I run my business and care for my patients.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by remembering where I came from and why I started. In rural communities, access to dental care is not always easy, and I saw how that impacted people. I wanted to be part of the solution. Every time I help someone feel more comfortable, confident, or cared for, it reminds me that this work matters. Building my own business gives me the freedom to care for people in a way that feels genuine, and that keeps me going even on the hard days.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use the $25,000 to grow access to care in rural Newfoundland. I would upgrade the power system in my mobile clinic so I can operate more efficiently and reach more communities. I would also begin setting up a small clinic space in my hometown of Dover. Having a permanent space would allow me to care for more patients who currently struggle to access services. My goal is simple. I want to make dental care more accessible, more comfortable, and more human.
