Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

I am inspired by Dr. Booker T. Washington, the Founder of Tuskegee University. He walked 700 miles from Hampton, Virginia to Tuskegee, Alabama to establish this educational institution. He networked with sitting U.S. Presidents, Andrew Carnegie, and John D. Rockefeller. He established multiple seven-figure endowments for the university in the 1800s. Almost two centuries later, the school still benefits from these relationships. Dr. B. T. Washington inspires me to do so much more.

How do you stay motivated?

I gratitude journal daily. My attitude of gratitude allows me to achieve the highest altitude. Gratitude is the seed for more. My focus on my more and my better is what keeps me motivated. I know that what is ahead of me is so much greater than what is behind me. Hence, the windshield is so much larger than the rearview mirror. What is ahead, is even greater than the goodness behind. This keeps me motivated.

What would you do with the $25,000?

The $25,000 will be invested into the distribution of my book, WOMENTORING, to affinity groups for women all across the country. This capital will also serve as seed money to facilitate the mentoring and training of women all across the United States.
