Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My mother is my number inspiration. I am truly legacy personally and in business. My mother's concept of understanding how to control her currency kept us financially secure even during crisis. I bottled up her concept through creating a proven system and process that bring families from survival mode with their finances to legacy building with their finances. We teach how to move from financial literacy (survival) to economic literacy (wealth building).

How do you stay motivated?

Honestly, the testimonials that we have received over the years from our customers motivates me. That keeps me going because running a business is challenging and often not fun after a while. My purpose is clear and I fight to be present, so our clients' lives are directly impacted in a positive way. I get a kick out of seeing our system and process continue to produce positive high-level results.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would continue to move our system into the future with AI powered components. Our nonprofit bookkeeping clients already benefit. We use Spark Receipt and Clearbook to help capture all of the data by paper receipt, spreadsheet, or accounting software as well as decrease errors at month end and year end. Our tax prep service will benefit as well because we will be about to upgrade to software that provided a forecast component to do tax planning for our small business or high earner clients.
