Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My greatest inspiration was my mother, an entrepreneur in Nigeria who built her business through resilience and determination. She showed me that courage and hard work can create opportunity even with limited resources. Although she has passed, her entrepreneurial spirit continues to guide me. Building The Spice Bar is my way of honoring her legacy while sharing the flavors and culture that shaped my journey.

How do you stay motivated?

The vision of building something meaningful that reflects perseverance and possibility keeps me motivated. As a single mother and entrepreneur, challenges are part of the journey, but they also fuel my determination. Every time someone cooks a delicious meal using my blends, it reminds me that food connects people and cultures. That impact keeps me focused on growing The Spice Bar into something bigger.

What would you do with the $25,000?

The funding would allow me to scale The Spice Bar from a small operation into a stronger national brand. I would invest in expanding production, improving packaging, and expanding marketing so more people across Canada can discover our blends. The funding would also help secure retail opportunities and strengthen online sales. My goal is to build a nationally recognized spice brand that celebrates flavor, culture, and entrepreneurship.
