Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

Growing up as a refugee with a single mom I had to navigate my way through life mostly alone which led me to become hyper independent. I became an entrepreneur at a young age. I had no knowledge about running a business and looked for guidance from the adults around me. I grew up watching shows like Shark Tank and would imagine myself as one of the Sharks. My biggest inspiration comes from the people around and the ones I watch on tv and imagine myself to be like.

How do you stay motivated?

Staying motivated isn’t easy when you don’t have the proper help and guidance, but nobody said it would be easy. I stay motivated by never forgetting where I came from, how far I’ve come, and how much farther I have to go. I think about some of the things I’ve already accomplished like building a well in my village and launching SwifBook app. Giving up is the easy part, but I’m an entrepreneur we don’t take the easy route.

What would you do with the $25,000?

$25,000 will be a blessing in my life. I’ve funded my business with my own money. I will use the money to have a small launch party, I never took the time to celebrate myself and SwifBook. I will mostly use the money for advertising, content creation, and collaboration with small beauty businesses to help SwifBook reach a bigger audience. I spent all my money building the app and don’t have enough for advertisement. This money will help change that.
