Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration comes from my experience as a rural patient and the providers working in overstretched healthcare systems. Growing up, I experienced how access and communication gaps shaped patient outcomes. Now as a pharmacy student, I see how hard clinicians work to bridge those gaps. That intersection—patients who deserve better and providers who want to do better—drives me to build CuraVoice: a tool helping healthcare students master bedside manner and clinical communication.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by remembering both sides of healthcare—the patient I once was and the provider I’m becoming. Healthcare students are trying to learn in systems that are overstretched, yet patients still deserve clarity, empathy, and trust. When things get difficult, I go back to that mission: helping future clinicians practice the conversations that make care human.

What would you do with the $25,000?

We would use the funding to strengthen CuraVoice’s infrastructure, expand our clinical voice simulations, and support targeted outreach to healthcare programs so more students can practice real patient conversations. A portion would also fund scholarships for healthcare students to help relieve the financial burden of their training so they can focus on becoming the providers patients deserve.
