Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My business inspiration is rooted in the bold vision and unapologetic truth of Audre Lorde, the fearless voice of Nina Simone, the self-defined elegance of Eartha Kitt, the radical clarity of Malcolm X, and the moral courage of Martin Luther King Jr.. Their legacies remind me that business can be a vehicle for liberation, culture, and transformative community impact.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by staying rooted in purpose and remembering who the work is for. When things get hard, I return to the vision—building spaces, opportunities, and care for my community. Progress, even small wins, keeps me moving. I also rest, reflect, and reconnect with the bigger mission so the work stays sustainable and meaningful.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would invest the $25,000 into expanding community programming, operational stability, and infrastructure for Mutha’s House. Funds would support space access, supplies for workshops and mutual aid efforts, stipends for facilitators, and outreach to reach more Black and queer community members. The goal is to strengthen sustainable programming that provides healing spaces, skill-building, and tangible resources for the community.
