Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My biggest inspiration is my mother. She worked with seniors and would often tell me about the seniors she cared for. People who spent their lives raising families and serving their communities, yet many of them were lonely and struggling with simple daily tasks. Hearing those stories stayed with me. It inspired me to create Pals, a service that connects seniors with trusted companions who help with everyday needs while offering something just as important: human connection and dignity.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by remembering the people this service is meant to help. When I think about seniors who once lived full, independent lives but now struggle with errands, technology, or simply having someone to talk to, it reminds me why Pals matters. I also think about families who want to support their aging parents but are balancing work, children, and other responsibilities. Building something that can make life easier and more connected for both seniors and families keeps me focused.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If awarded the $25,000, I would use the funding to grow and strengthen Pals by developing a simple platform that allows families to easily connect seniors with trusted companions. The funds would help recruit, screen, and train compassionate “Pals,” while covering background checks, insurance, and outreach to families who need reliable support. My goal is to build a trusted service that helps seniors maintain independence, reduce loneliness, and give families peace of mind.
