Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

I, as founder of The Suri Foundation am inspired by the saying United We Stand, Divided We Fall. My inspiration to start The Suri Foundation is the realization that we generally take life for granted yet it is a short and finite life and we will be judged not by how much money we made or what cars we drove but how we spent our money and time to make our neighbor's life better.

How do you stay motivated?

Staying focused on why I started the foundation and celebrating small wins like first family helped, first volunteer recruited and first community partnership entered into. Also seeing efforts convert into visible tangible results in the form of meals donated to local food banks, number of individuals helped with free tax filings and benefits they were able to access, families helped financially, individuals helped through education grants etc

What would you do with the $25,000?

The $25K would go a long way in starting our 3 initial projects - 1) Create an education fund for individuals who want to study further but cannot afford to (2) Create a entrepreneur fund where we help low and modest income individuals start a small business to improve their financial situation (3) Help match deserving individuals get a job through community partnerships or help them gain the practical experience and skills needed to get a job through volunteering or fund paid internships.
