Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration in business is my family- my children and grandchildren. Everything I’m building is rooted in the desire to create a stable foundation for them to grow and thrive without the hardships I experienced. I come from a background shaped by foster care, substance abuse within my family, and an overall lack of stability and support. Those experiences didn’t break me- they gave me perspective, resilience, and purpose. I’m driven to do better.

How do you stay motivated?

I don’t stay motivated- I build systems that carry me when motivation fades. What I do have and what’s clear is my purpose, that’s stronger and louder than motivation could possibly take me. I stay connected to my purpose and the bigger picture, this journey hasn’t been easy, and I’ve seen firsthand what instability can do to families. That drives me to keep going even on hard days. I focus on consistency and show up daily, taking small steps and staying committed.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If awarded $25,000 I would use it to secure my first property to launch my sober living home Phoenix Housing Group. My goal is to create a safe, structured environment for individuals in recovery to rebuild their lives. This space will provide stability, accountability, and support, giving residents a real opportunity to thrive. This would not only start my business, but allow me to make a meaningful impact in my community.
