Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration comes from the people I serve and the gaps I’ve experienced firsthand. Working in housing, I saw that people don’t just need a place to live—they need support inside the home. That’s what pushed me to build Detroit Edge. And because that system doesn’t exist, I developed a technology that supports people in real time—helping them stay stable, safe, and successful. I’m also inspired by the women in my family my mother and grandmother.

How do you stay motivated?

My motivation comes from within. I’m a hardworking person who believes in creating solutions that help others. Knowing that my work can help people rebuild their lives through housing and provide support inside the home drives me every day. Helping people feel safe, stable, and supported is what keeps me going.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If awarded $25,000, I will focus on bringing the Compani platform to market. Funds will support prototype development, legal fees for business and intellectual property protection, and marketing for an initial pilot program. The goal is to test Compani with real users to provide in-home support, wellness check-ins, and connection for individuals navigating life challenges.
