What is Entrepreneur of Impact?
Learn MoreMy inspiration in business is purpose. As a Black mother, author of Grace Under Pressure, and maternal health advocate, my work is fueled by lived experience. Surviving preeclampsia opened my eyes to the disparities Black and Brown women face in healthcare. That experience drives me to build businesses and initiatives that create awareness, empower communities, and transform pain into purpose.
How do you stay motivated?I stay motivated by remembering why I started. My children, my faith, and the women whose voices are often unheard keep me going. When challenges come, I remind myself that my story has purpose. Every step forward brings me closer to creating change in maternal health and showing my children that resilience, faith, and hard work can transform adversity into impact.
What would you do with the $25,000?If awarded $25,000, I would invest it into expanding Grace Under Pressure as both a book and advocacy platform. The funds would support printing and distribution, community outreach events focused on maternal health awareness, and educational resources for Black and Brown women navigating high risk pregnancies. It would also help build a sustainable platform that amplifies lived experiences and pushes for better maternal health outcomes.
