Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration comes from my family and Moroccan heritage. I grew up around artisans and craftsmanship, which taught me the value of creating with purpose. My husband believed in my vision and helped me start Dar Jamai. My daughter also motivates me to build something meaningful that connects culture, fragrance, and entrepreneurship while inspiring other women to follow their dreams.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by remembering where I started and the purpose behind my work. I built Dar Jamai from farmers markets to a growing brand in San Diego, and every step reminds me that persistence creates opportunity. Creating perfumes has also helped me heal while living with chronic illness. My family, my customers, and my passion for sharing Arabic fragrance traditions keep me focused and grateful every day.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would invest the $25,000 to expand Dar Jamai by increasing production, improving packaging, and growing wholesale partnerships with boutiques. It would also support marketing and hiring support for farmers markets. My goal is to scale the brand while sharing Arabic oil perfumery and Moroccan fragrance culture with a wider audience across the United States
