We have seen too many horror stories of athletes losing everything- including their lives. It started as a cautionary tale for mistakes I made in my career, and then watching the mental health stress on my son as a competitive athlete. Once we saw the numbers of college athletes who struggled with suicidal ideation and followed through on it, we knew we had to do better.
How do you stay motivated?Every time an athlete thanks us- whether it is starting a new savings account, getting a brand ambassadorship, or getting a job through our platform, we know our mission has a higher calling and is the reason we work as hard as we do to make a meaningful difference in the lives of college athletes.
What would you do with the $25,000?The $25,000 would allow us to expand our reach and gift the platform to overlooked universities and establish and reward NILENT ambassador athletes especially at the HBCUs and D2 and D3 schools. The playing field should be elevated for ALL athletes in ALL sports at ALL programs and not just a select few.
