Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

Any and everything that I cook build create or do in line goes back to my father Albert John "Yabo" Stewart and my dear mother Jeanne Marie Turenne Stewart, who from earthquakes, to discrimination and riots, showed me perseverance and determination in the midst of various trials and tribulations. While both made terrible choices, like myself and many in this world, we must own our stuff and do better to make a difference, no matter how bad, in order to help others to be better too.

How do you stay motivated?

Even though I have been through the fire, my motivation and inspiration first comes from God Almighty, who changes hearts of stone like I had into one which actually cares about people and not just the self. Having men, women,church leaders, associates and friends with a supporting family which forgave me for my wrongs all keep me going into the various trials of life, prison,homelessness, surgeries and disappointments not someday leave this mark and allow my son steven to know I did my best.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would purchase a food truck and park it at one of the three locations in Tempe to continue serving the growing clientele I already have, then open a culinary school in the heart of Phoenix at a location that will be sponsored by the people and connect them with the actual resources that will give them the second chance that I have been given. Once established, I will work with victim impact groups and churches to speak with today's youth and those struggling to change, in then hopes they heal
