Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

As a certified teacher with over 20 years of experience and a graduate of Harvard’s Leaders in Learning program, my inspiration for Agora Prep is both professional and personal. I have ADHD and two of my three children are neurodiverse. Seeing how many capable students struggle in traditional systems motivated me to create an inclusive learning environment where all learners can thrive. Our label is not our limit and I believe that all children are born with a purpose.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by witnessing the growth, confidence, and joy of my children and the students I serve. Seeing them succeed, overcome challenges, and realize their potential is the greatest reminder of why this work is so meaningful. I have graduated over 15 children who went off to Highschool and they keep coming back to visit, help with summer camps, and do their coop placements. That is such a blessing to me because we are a true family community. Not just a school. I love what I do.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would invest half the amount into the school because we need to purchase new supplies and some of the furniture damaged over the past 5 years. The remaining amount will be used to launching our nonprofit so we can start building partnerships with global orphanages and extend our educational programs to the children who are abandoned and forgotten. I would like them to exceed society's expectations, fulfill their true purpose, and inspire them to be future leaders.
