Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

I’m inspired by the women in my community who carry so much for others but rarely have spaces to heal themselves. Their resilience motivates me to build systems of care that are accessible, culturally responsive, and rooted in community. I’m also inspired by mission-driven leaders who prove that business and impact can exist together. Through CALM, I’m building something that not only supports healing today but creates lasting infrastructure for mental wellness in Detroit.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by remembering the people behind this work. Every time someone finds support, healing, or community through our programs, it reminds me why this mission matters. I also stay grounded by focusing on long-term impact, building systems that will continue helping women and families long after today. Progress, even in small steps, keeps me moving forward.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If awarded $25,000, I would continue to expand CALM’s community mental health pipeline in Detroit by funding therapy vouchers and launching additional pop-up CALM Rooms in community spaces. These spaces offer restorative programming, support circles, and mental health resources for women who often face barriers to care. The goal is simple: reach more households, reduce stigma, and create accessible pathways to healing in the communities that need it most.
