Who or what is your inspiration in business?

Growing up from a young age, I learned early that I had to become my own support system. That drive is what became my inspiration. I built my business to create change for myself and for others. Seeing the confidence the beauty industry can give people and helping aspiring entrepreneurs build their own path motivates me to keep pushing myself to grow and do better every day. My help in giving others success and confidence is my inspiration.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated to know that everyone starts somewhere. There is no set path or guideline for success or a “right answer”. I built my business from the ground up while battling fibromyalgia daily, and was fortunate enough to have a very strong first year in business. I have also experienced cancer testing and lived in my car while continuing to build my business. Those challenges showed me my resilience, and remembering what I’ve overcome keeps me motivated to keep going.

What would you do with the $25,000?

The $25,000 would truly be life changing. I’ve built my business completely on my own without grants, loans, or outside support. With the economy affecting small businesses, this would help me reinvest into growth, hire staff, and move forward with plans to open a training academy. My goal is to create opportunities, help other aspiring artists / business owners succeed, and continue building a business that empowers others.
