Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

The ever growing masses of marginalized people in the US are my inspiration. My ancestors are my inspiration. I want to contribute to a world where everyone is free and safe to be themselves. I come from hardships and domestic violence. I know strife. I also know how to break generational chains of bondage. I am the first in my family to own property. I am living proof that someone can come from a very dark place, to find the light. Struggle, grief, and life inspire me.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by my community and my place of employment. I work for the Wildflower Alliance. My family, my mother, and my grandmother are what keep me motivated. My grandmother was everything to everyone and never ever bloated about her achievements. We found out when she passed away and heard stories from the people in attendance. I wish to move through life with that level of grace and poise.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would purchase land to start a farm. The proceeds from thst farm would fund emergency housing for people in Massachusetts and beyond. I would upscale this project from that point forward. I would offer land stewardship courses on the farm and give children the life skills necessary to survive if they are ever without a place to live. I hope to change the world.
