Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My kids are my greatest inspiration. Bode+Ev, named after them, represented by the birds in my logo that symbolize freedom, transformation, and the courage to follow your purpose, even when the path is uncertain. I want them to grow up seeing that resilience, hard work, and belief in yourself can turn even the hardest moments into something meaningful. Every challenge I’ve faced fuels my determination to keep going and show them that with courage and perseverance, anything is possible.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated knowing the way my candles and products make people feel. I love watching someone pause, smile, and take in the scent or feel of a product as it brings them back to a person, place, or a special moment in time. When someone leaves a review, sends me a message, or tells me in person how something I created made them feel comforted, relaxed, nostalgic, or simply happy, it reminds me why I started and why I continue to pour my heart into every product I make.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I were to win the $25,000, I would use it to strengthen and grow my business. I would pay off a few outstanding expenses, invest in a marketing campaign to reach new customers, and purchase additional equipment and supplies to increase production. This support would allow me to continue growing Bode+Ev and build a more stable future for my family.
