Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration in business comes from visionary creators and mentors. Virgil Abloh inspires me through how he bridged culture, design, and luxury, showing that creativity can redefine industries. My mentor, Scott Jones, inspires me through his innovation and entrepreneurial mindset, reminding me to think boldly and build businesses that create lasting impact.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by keeping my priorities grounded in faith, family, and community. My faith in God gives me purpose and reminds me that the work I do should serve something greater than myself. My family inspires me to keep pushing forward and build something meaningful that lasts. And my community motivates me to continue creating opportunities through leathercraft education, sharing skills, and helping others discover the pride that comes from making something with their own hands.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Grant funding would be used to expand community-centered leathercraft education at Julian James BLG by building out a dedicated learning space with additional workbenches, tools, and equipment to host more workshops and youth programs. The investment would also support scholarships and reduced-cost classes, making hands-on craftsmanship accessible to more people in the community.
