Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My Haitian ancestry is the inspiration behind my business. Haiti was the first free Black republic in the world and since then Haiti has been depicted falsely and horribly. I want to help change that narrative. I am also inspired to help people connect with their ancestors as this I’ve seen how tapping into my ancestors has uplifted my life tremendously. How do you stay motivated?

I sta motivated because I lost a 9-month-old beautiful son named Kamden 10 years ago. I will never allow him to go in vain without me giving this life my all and best shot. I have an unwavering desire to reach my full potential and be of service in the best way possible. I believe if I keep on believing and I don’t stop, then I will get there eventually. I refuse to let anything stop me.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would invest it into my business Sacred + Céramique. I would focus on my website, markting, getting in more galleries, commissions, and offer workshops that storytell how we can tap in and connect with our ancestors. I would also use the funds to get a curator and storyteller who could help me explain my brand to the broader community and easily understand the essence of my intentional art.
