Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My grandparents shaped the foundation of who I am . Their lives were defined by sacrifice, faith, and an unwavering commitment to family in the midst of racism. They taught me that strength is often quiet and that perseverance through hardship builds character. Hearing how they work tirelessly to create stability for future generations instilled in me a deep sense of responsibility to honor their legacy through education, purpose, and the pursuit of meaningful impact in my community.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by balancing education, health, family, and entrepreneurship. While pursuing my master’s degree, I continue building Yosef’s Cuisine by hosting events that bring my community together. Working out keeps me disciplined and focused, while time with family reminds me why I strive for growth. Through everyday experiences, I constantly develop new ideas to expand my business and create opportunities that will positively impact my community in the future.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Yosef’s Cuisine LLC will use a $25,000 grant to expand catering operations, purchase mobile equipment, and host community-centered events. Funding will support marketing, licensing, and working capital while increasing service capacity. As the business grows, it will prioritize giving back through community meals, philanthropic initiatives, and future real estate investments that create spaces for gatherings, culinary experiences, and opportunities that strengthen the community.
